The coat of arms consists of historical symbols: 1. The ruins of the Illyrian town of Daorson (name inscribed in Greek) that were found just above the modern town of Stolac; 2. The tower of Vidoski grad (15th century); 3. Vine-ornament from a stećak (grave stone) from around the 13th century and representation of river Bregava.
