Presentation of Kozarska Dubica

Kozarska Dubica was named Bosanska Dubica before the 1990s. Republika Srpska uses the former name only, while the State authorities use both names. Kozarska Dubica is located on the opposite bank of Sava river from the town of Hrvatska Dubica (Croatia). The name of the town originates from dub, the archaic word for "an oak".

The coat of arms of Kozarska Dubica is prescribed by Article 1 of Statutory Decision Statutarna odluka o utvrđivanju oblika, sadržaja i upotrebe simbola Opštine Kozarska Dubica, adopted on 21 December 2006 by the Municipal Council and published in the Municipal official gazette Službeni glasnik Opštine Kozarska Dubica.

The municipality has a coat of arms.
The coat of arms of the municipality is in a shield shape (linked to the history of Slavic peoples, in Varangian [Viking] shape horizontally divided into two fields).
In the area matching the "head of the shield" is set at the left side an oak branch with leaves and acorns in light yellow, its top part touching the sky in light yellow - ruddy colour.
In the shield fess are mountains coloured in deep blue grayish (symbolizing Kozara and Prosara) and a plain in dark brown.
From the basic part of the "fess of the shield" is raising the pinacle of the Moštanica monastery, making the "column of the shield".
In the zone of the "base of the shield" is a bridge merged with the elements of the old Dubica fortress. The bridge is set over five waves symbolizing Una, Sava, Moštanica, Rakovica and MljeÄčanica.
The field is outlined in Bordeaux red, wider in the top, with the inscription "Kozarska Dubica".

Even if the name of the municipality is prescribed to be inscribed above the shield, this is apparently often omitted - even in the illustration attached to the Decision. When the inscription appears, it is on two rows repeating the name in Cyrillic over Latin script.

There is no flag either prescribed or reported.
