About the Flag

Vertical tricolor of green-silver-yellow with the municipal arms on the grey stripe.

The flag of the city of Ferraz de Vasconcelos consists of 3 vertical bands in different colors:
GREEN (to the hoist), represents the grapes, and the enormous historic importance of production of Italian grapes;
SILVER (in the center), represents the nobility, where it carries the arms of the city;
YELLOW (to the fly), represents the wealth of Ferraz.

The artistic concept of the flag of the city of Ferraz de Vasconcelos was devised by Vitor de Oliveira Pinheiro.

Ater some debate and discussion meetings, the design we know today was chosen and adopted by (municipal?) law No. 757/70. I'm almost sure that the two digits after the slash mean that this law was issued in 1970.
