Diagonally divided by yellow with rising black ibex and by blue with white deer trunk.
The ibex comes from the coat of arms of the Welter of Blidegg, the yellow colour refers to the St. Gallen
monastery. The white stag in blue was the coat of arms of the stewards of Singenberg. Two different
animal species in the same coat of arms/flag are extremely rare.
On 1 January 1997 the new commune was formed through the merger of Zihlschlacht and Sitterdorf.
