Kirchheim beneath Teck City Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, a forked cross Argent, chief Or charged with an antler Sable in fess.
Meaning:
The settlement had been founded by the Dukes of Teck and gained city rights in 1260. The first seal from 1300 displayed in a shield parted per pale the forked cross and the lozenges of the Teck family. The city had been a dominion of the Habsburg kin from 1303 until 1325. The seal from 1306 thus displayed the cross besides the Austrian Arms (Gules a fess Argent). Afterwards the city became a dominion of Württemberg. Thus all local seals since the end of the 14th century displayed the current pattern. The cross had been first the metal fitting of a shield. It is perhaps based on the personal arms of Conrad Hopfrebe from 1277. The tinctures of the current arms were fixed in 1535.
