Shield Gules a fess Or charged with a deciduous tree Vert with circular treetop and trunk Maron, flanked by two pairs of firs Vert with trunks Maron, in chief hammer and mallet Argent in saltire, in base a rummer Argent.
Meaning:
The arms are based on a local seal, used without approval after WW2 but abolished by the government of the GDR. The trees are symbolising the location among woods and the saw mills, which existed since 1852. They were followed by glass kilns since 1872, represented by the rummer. Hammer and mallet as symbols of mining are symbolising the depletion of clay.
