Shield gyronny of 12 of Or and Gules; in centre an inescutcheon Gules, charged with a cogwheel Sable fimbriated Argent with 12 teeth, and a bunch of three grain ears Or, the latter exceeding the inescutcheon.
Meaning:
Red and gold are the colours of the Bishopric of Hildesheim. Cogwheel and ears (probably barley but not specified) are representing industries and agriculture. The number twelve is alluding to the 12 villages of Schellerten.
