Shield Azure a quadrangular tower Or masoned Sable with pitched roof Gules.
Meaning:
Hartha was first mentioned as a village in 1223 and as an unfortified city in 1445. Around 1400 it belonged to the Lordship of Kriebstein and since 1588 to the Electorate of Sachsen. The meaning of the tower is not known.
