Ofterschwang Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess of Gules and Argent, an alpine rose with petals on top of a triplemount, both in counterchanged tinctures, chief Or three diamonds Gules.
Meaning:
Mount and rose are representing the fields of alpine roses on the slopes of Rangiswangerhorn, Sigiswangerhorn and Ofterschwangerhorn. The diamonds are taken from the arms of the Counts of Königsegg-Rothenfels, local rulers for centuries. The tinctures red and white are those of the Bishopric of Augsburg, which owned large estates in the village.
