The city emblem was adopted on Mar 2nd 2006 by Notice No 1 but there is no
flag law. The white flag has a red and an orange two color city emblem in the
center. The city emblem is a stylized N of Nikko in a circle. The sun light
symbolizes a land of light, the five flower petals do the former five city, towns
and villages. The flower symbolizes four seasons and winds. It represents a
surge and a development of the city.
