The Flag

Togane city in Chiba Prefecture adoption its emblem (in Japanese) in September 1953. Two stylized hiragana To . No flag legislation but they use following flag as practice: flag proportion: 2:3; colour of field: Purple; colour of emblem: white; diameter of emblem: 3/5 flag height

The emblem features two stylised hiragana to combined in a circular design with 3 "wings" on each side. The circle symbolises peace and unity of the people through amalgamation, and the 6 wings the leaping development/growth of the city. The emblem was chosen from a public competition. The designer was a Mr Hideo Suzuki.
Most mentions of the flag on the city website appeared to be about "Challenge Day" sports events against another city, with the loser flying the opponents flag from the municipal office for a week.

For city of Togane I corrected color of flag to bluish purple.

Togane City says they now use a bluish purple flag like Tomislav's image.
