The village emblem was adopted on Nov 23rd 1967 but there is no flag law. The green flag has a white village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized katakana ヒシ Hishi of  Higashi Shirakawa. The circle and the wings symbolize a reconciliation, a solidarity,  a development and the future of the village.
