The city emblem was adopted on Feb 19th 2005 by Notice No 10 but there is no
flag law. The white flag has a red and a green two color city emblem in the
center. The green color stands for the rows of mountains of cordillera
Katsuragi, the leaves and a wish to protect a rich nature and the red color for
an affluent town with crysanthemum and tree peony. As a whole, it
represents a wish for the city to develop to a bright future.
