The town emblem and the flag were adopted on Nov 21st 2005 by Ordinance No
186. The light blue flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem
is a stylized hiragana や Ya of Yazu in a form of a flying bird. It represents an
image of the town where the people lives together in harmony with a nature. The
flag proportion is 2: 3. The height of the emblem is 14/20 of the height of the
flag.
