The town emblem was adopted on Sep 12th 2005 but there is no flag law. The
green flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized
hiragana に Ni of Niyodogawa. The left curved line stands for the town peoples
power, the right upper one for the mountains and the right lower one for Niyodo
River and other rivers. The three curved lines symbolize the merged former three
villages.
