The town emblem was adopted on Aug 10th 1973 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green town emblem in the center.
The town emblem is a stylized katakana ナ Na of Nakagawa in a form of
River Nakagawa running thru the center of the town.
It represents the town enveloped with green trees and water.
