Correction of flag.
Tomislav Šipek, 30 September 2013
The city emblem was adopted on Sep 1st 2005 by Notice No 95 but there is no
flag law. The white flag has a green, a blue, a purple three color city emblem
in the center. The city emblem is a stylized BT of BungoTakata. The green color
stands for an earth bringing rich blessings, the blue color for waves of Suo
Channel connected with the world, the purple color for a history and a culture.
It represents an image of the city which makes a great leap forward to the
bright and vigorous future on the background of a rich climate such as a
beautiful nature inherited over 1000 years and a history of Rokugomanzan
Culture.
