The town emblem was adopted on Apr 18th 1965 but there is no flag law.
The purple flag has a white town emblem in the center and the kanji name
in white vertically at the hoist.
The town emblem is a stylized hiragana は Ha of Haebaru in a flying bird. The cap of waves symbolizes River Kokuba.
It represents the town’s peace, reconciliation, solidarity, cooperation,
the industrial culture's surge and extension.
