Located in Setagaya City Tokyo and established in 1925.
The embroidered ceremonial flag has purple background with a gold-colored emblem and gold-colored fringe.
The university flag has purple background with a white emblem in the center.
The emblem of Komazawa University is a hieroglyphic design of the word "大學" , which expresses the idea of an extremely large heart that covers all learning.

The symbol mark flag has white background with a purple, yellow and green symbol mark without university name.
The symbol mark was adopted on March 20, 1998. It was designed using the initial "K" of Komazawa University as a motif (Trademark Registration No. 4300018). It represents "the image of a sandalwood leaf growing straight and strong from the past into the future," "compassion," and "intelligence and wisdom.
