Located in Chiyoda City Tokyo and established in 1920. The embroidered ceremonial hanging flag has deep purple background with a gold emblem with gold border.Adopted in April 1915. The color "deep purple," the highest on the color scale, was chosen to express the hope for improvement. The school color was decided by the then principal Yuzaburo Kinoshita. The university flag has deep purple background with a white emblem. The university emblem is a seal script with "大學" in the center and "明治" on the left and right. It was adopted in 1903 and later redesigned in 1936. (Source)
