The Flag

Located in Kodaira City Tokyo and established in 1962. The university flag has blue background with a yellow school mark of kanji 美 in white letter of ”M”. The school does not have an official emblem, but instead uses the school mark. Incidentally, there are various theories as to the origin of the school mark, including that it was written by Shogo Kanehara, one of the founders of the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts, and that Mr. Kanehara chose the characters he used.
