Located in Nagasaki City Nagasaki Prefecture and established in 2001. The embroidered ceremonial hanging flag has dark red background with a gold emblem, white Latin motto and university name written horizontally in gold fringe. The university flag has dark red background with a white emblem. (Source) The anniversary of the founding of the university is December 1, the day of the reconstruction of Nagasaki YMCA. The university motto is the words of Jesus Christ, "I am the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6), and the Latin phrase VIA VERITAS VITA, meaning "the way, the truth, and the life," is prominently displayed on the front of the university building. The university building has a large sign in front of it. The university emblem is designed by combining the three V's of its initials.
