Located in Sasebo City Nagasaki Prefecture and established in 1950. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark red background with a gold logo mark and gold kanji university name written vertically with gold fringe. The university flag has white background with a blue, orange and black emblem in the center with blue and orange horizontal stripes. (Source) The university aims to be a university like the sea, sending out diverse human resources to the world from a campus with unlimited possibilities, and a university like the sun , creating a bright future and allowing possibilities to blossom with brilliant light. The school emblem is this "S" for SEA and SUN. S" of the SASEBO CAMPUS　and the SIEBOLD CAMPUS. The "S" motif is based on the common "S," and the two "S "s, one blue to symbolize the ocean and the other orange to represent the sun, overlap and connect to form the shape of the two universities that will be merged into one and contain endless possibilities. The emblem is decorated with the English name "University of Nagasaki" around it to make it easier to understand the name of the university, and "Founded 2008" indicates that the university will start a new journey in 2008 while continuing the traditions of the past. The logo mark is based on the "S" which is the core of the university's emblem.
