Flaggenbuch 1939 shows the police flag as a red flag with a black canton (2/3 of the hoist x 1/2 of the fly) bearing a white crescent and a white 5-pointed star. Jaume Ollé's image shows a flag with a 1/2 x 1/2 blue canton, probably from another edition of Flaggenbugh [1905 edition?].

Flag of the Johore police (as the national ensign but the fly red and the crescent and star white). The crescent is in this position, a little different of the usual one.
