Arms and flag adopted on December 3, 2003 (resolution # XII/96/03).
"Arms: on the Spanish-style shield of blue color there are charges
symbolizing all three parishes of the commune. Main charge is an image
of St.Martin sharing his cloak with the beggar. That's the symbol of the
Biskupice Parish.
On the right side there are so-called Peter's keys symbolizing the
St.Peter and Paul church in the Bodzanów Parish ( note the absence of the
rope between the keys, which is reserved only for the Vatican and Papacy
symbols).
Finally on the upper left side is a cavalier's cross representing the
Lazany Parish which has a Church of the Founding of the Holy Cross.
The disparity in sizes of respective charges was necessary for practical
reasons because of the space limitations.
Flag: a rectangle in the ratio of 5:8 divided into three vertical bands
in the proportions:
1/4:1/2:1/4 and in colors: blue-white-blue.
The widest, middle white band provides the background for the commune's
Coat of Arms."
