Gmina Goniądz is an urban-rural gmina (commune) in Mońki County, Podlaskie
Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland. Its seat is the town of Goniądz,
which lies
approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) north-west of Mońki and 51 km (32
mi) north-west of the regional capital Białystok.
Area: 376.68 sq.km (145.4 sq.mi), Population: 5,209 (2006).
Town of Goniądz has a population of 1,915. It was 80% destroyed in
World War II.
Arms and flag adopted on August 2, 2006 (resolution # XLVI/197/06).
