It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered (town rank) of blue and white.

The arms are Argent on a mound Sable issuant from the base a fountain effervescent Azure and surrounded by two grapevines Vert fruited Purpure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "CABEÇO DE VIDE".
Meaning:
The CoA is canting for "Cabeço de vide" means "grape hill".

Cabeço de Vide Commune is one of the three communes of the Fronteira municipality (q.v.). The commune had 1133 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 65,70 km².
