It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field.

Shield Argent with base wavy of Azure and Argent, issuant from base a throughout bridge Purpure with three archs, masoned Sable, in chief a bundle of seven arrows Azure tied Gules at dexter, and a bell Gules with bobbin Azure at sinister. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "REGUEIRA DE PONTES".
Meaning:
The arrows are representing St. Sebastian, the local patron saint. The bell is alluding to local bell-foundry. The base wavy is representing Lis River. The bridge is a canting element, alluding to the suffix "de Pontes".
