The shield of the arms is Argent two sheaves of rye Vert tied Gules, depicted as only 3 ears in each "sheaf", a grapevine Purpure leaved Vert, all three set 2:1, in chief a palm frond Vert in fess. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "SANTALHA - VINHAIS".
