The shield of the arms is Argent, semy of chestnuts Vert stemmed of the Same and slit Or, surrounding a palm frond Gules in pale. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VILAR DE OSSOS"

Vilar de Ossos Commune, also spelled Vilar d'Ossos, is one of the 26 communes of Vinhais Municipality; it had 269 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 16.4 km².
