Presentation of Şiran

The municipality of Şiran (27,116 inhabitants in 2016, 7,172 in the town of Şiran; 92,791 ha) is located 90 km south-west of Gümüşhane.

Flag of Şiran

The flag of Şiran (photo) is white with the municipality's emblem. "Belediyesi" means "Municipality".

The emblem features the Tomara waterfall (presentation).
Tomara waterfall is 14 km away from the district center. Spring out from 40 separate spots on the foothills, the waterfall is 15 m in width and 25 m in height. While the waterfalls in our country are poured from river beds, the origin of Tomara waterfall cannot be seen and is unique in that it springs out from the chest of the mountain.
