The flag of Çağlayancerit (photo, photo) is white with the municipality's emblem, which features a walnut. "Belediyesi" means "Municipality".
The Çağlayancerit walnut (Çağlayancerit Cevizi) was granted a protected geographical indication by a Decree published on 13 November 2012 in the
Turkish official gazette, No. 28,466.
Most walnuts grown in Çağlayancerit belong to the Maraş 18 variety,
which was bred at the Faculty of Agriculture of the Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University (KSÜ). The Maraş walnut has superior quality properties and a specific flavor. Highly prized on the markets of the big Turkish
towns and potentially worth being exported, the Maraş walnut is hardly
sold on local markets. Area grown with this variety should dramatically
increase in the future to fulfill consumer's demand.

The former flag of Çağlayancerit (photo, photo, photo) was white with the municipality's former emblem.
