Odessa adopted a town flag on October 5, 2020, as seen in its meeting
minutes. Under New Business, it reads "Town Flag, sample attached hereto as
attachment D (1 page sample)" I asked the town clerk to provide the image in
attachment D, which I then received. It is a scan of a purchase of two town
flags from Flag and Banner, one for the fire company and the other the town
hall. The flag's ratio is 3:5.
On the flag, the town's seal appears with
a ribbon below. The first part of the ribbon depicts a goose, the middle reads
"Town of Odessa", and the last part has a contour of the state of Delaware.
Within the contour is Delaware's initials, "DE". In the seal's ring is the
incorporation date of 1873. Within the seal, the Old Academy building, a heron,
and a wetland are depicted.
