Back in 2002, the Iowa State Association of Counties website hosted an account of each county's history, signed by its County Recorder, and illustrated with a black and white flag image. It is not clear whether these flag images were provided by the county administration or not.
Archived copies of the pages about Grundy County are still at web.archive.org/web/*/www.iowacounties.org/County+Info/History+Pages/grundy.htm and web.archive.org/web/*/www.iowacounties.org/County+Info/Flags/Grundy.htm. It is a ~3:5 plain white (?) flag with lettering and a large emblem centered on it. The emblem shows line-drawn in black (?) farm buildings on the horizon and a tractor offset slightly to the fore; on the foreground two large black (?) sweeping curves of stylized ploughed soil are shown. Centered under it all, "Grundy County" in black (?) bold sans serif capitals.

According to the booklet [u9s03b] (4th photo of the 2nd row of page 5), this flag is indeed black and white.
