Flag

The flag is a diagonal bi-color of blue and white. In the center is the first part of the township's name. On the white field with the township's establishment year. On the blue field is "Town Range 1", which is meant to represent the plots of land that would become townships as designated by the Public Land Survey System in the early years of American expansion. Poland Township was the first of these as part of the "western reserve". which would eventually include Mahoning County.

I was sent a photo of the flag by the township board.

The seal also contains the town range one, although formatted differently. In the center is the Poland Center School, the school that was formally used during the township's early years. It is now being used by the Poland Township Historical Society.
