The current FDP/PLR is
the result of the merger of the former FDP/PRD/PLR
with the smaller LPS / PLS in 2009. The old
FDP/PRD/PLR is described at ch}fdp.html.
The FDP/PLR is one of the four large parties in the Swiss
parliament, currently having 33 out of 200 seats. It also has two members in
the federal government, the Federal Council (Bundesrat); one of them
currently serves as the Federal President for 2016 (Johann Schneider-Ammann).
The current logo is the party abbreviation in the respective language in blue over a thin light-blue bar, all on a white
field. Flag usage is somewhat low.

One version is a hanging flag with the German-language logo rotated 90
degrees [1].

In the canton Vaud a beach flag is used with the French-language logo rotated
90 degrees and the URL of the cantonal section [3,4].

In the city of Lausanne they use a a blue beach flag with white inscriptions:
"PLR" / "Les Liberaux Radicaus Lausannois" [5,6,7,8].
