The image of a volcano on a blue surface, both bounded by a green colored
circle. Three green links occupying the upper part of the composition, followed
by ten yellow five-pointed stars, symmetrically arranged in two groups of five
and two coffee branches with ripe fruits. Centered at the base of the
composition, in capital letters, the words “ILHA DO FOGO”. At the top, from
right to left, the words “Camara Municipal dos Mosteiros”. Second circle also
colored green.
When used by the Municipal Assembly, the inscription, on
the same surface, consists of the words “ASSEMBLEIA MUNICIPAL DOS MOSTEIROS”.

The municipality of Mosteiros, in Fogo Island, Cabo Verde, has
a red flag with its logo over all surrounded by
the usual 10 yellow five-pointed stars
(from 8 to 11 o’clock and from 1 to 4 o’clock), by a white
scroll reading "Município dos Mosteiros - Cabo Verde" in
black sans-serif capitals (below), and by three overlapping white
ellipses (12 o’clock).

The banner, in small rigid pentagonal
hanging form (what in Portuguese is usually called a
galhardete), is quartered
green and red; shown
on
line, and also visible
at the Mayor’s office.

The logo itself is circular and shows a sloped seaside landscape in shades of light blue and grey, with a snow-covered peak and four brown coffee beans at the observer’s right in foreground, stacked 2+2. All items outlined in black.
Since "mosteiros" / "musteru" means "monasteries", this is not a canting logo, as no building is visible on it. Coffee, on the other hand, is the municipality’s major produce.
