Renaissance shield Azure with base Vert, a barn Or superimposing two croziers Argent in saltire.
Meaning:
The green base is representing a meadow (German: Wiese) and the croziers are representing a bishop (German: Bischof). The arms are thus canting. The barn is a typical local building. The croziers are also alluding to the Berchtesgaden Provostry, the former ruler since the 15th century. The tinctures blue and white are those of Bayern, which acquired the area in 1809.
