Shield Azure with abased fess wavy Argent, on top of a barrulet Or a chapel Argent with three domes Gules, on dexter chief a fleur-de-lis Or in bend ending in a chisel, on sinister chief a fleur-de-lis Or in bend sinister ending in a maple leaf.
Meaning:
The chapel is a representation of that one dedicated to St. Bartholomew in the middle of the Königssee, a lake, and is taken from the arms of the former Königssee Municipality (for image: here). The fleur-de-lis are taken from the arms of the Berchtesgaden Provostry, The chisel is alluding to the local home based crafts, making wooden tools like spoons, spindles and boxes. The maple leaf is symbolising the Königssee Nature Protection Area. The tinctures red and white are those of the Archbishopric of Salzburg, white and blue those of Bayern.
