Paunzhausen Coat of Arms

Shield Azure an embattled tower Argent on top of a triplemount issuant of the same, flanked by an impending cross staff Or with scarf Argent at dexter and three 6-point stars Or in pale at sinister.
Meaning:
Staff and scarf are symbolising Johanneck village and the local famous relic of St. John the Baptist. The stars are representing Walterskirchen and its parish church, dedicated to the Holy Trinity. The tower on a triplemount displays the arms of the Lords of Thurn, who owned the local district (Bavarian: Hofmark) between 1472 and 1644. The district was connected with the Lordship of Au until 1717.
