Hohenfels Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, a throughout cross patty Sable, in centre superimposed by an inescutcheon Vert, charged with a pair of scissors Argent.
Meaning:
On 1 January 1975 the municipalities of Deutwang, Kalkofen, Liggersdorf, Mindersdorf and Selgetsweiler merged. As they all belonged to the Lordship of Hohenfels and since the beginning of the 13th century to the Lordship of Neuhohenfels, Hohenfeld became the name of the new municipality. The Lordship of Neuhohenfels became a possession of the Lords of Jungingen by inheritance and in 1506 of the Teutonic Order by purchase, finally in 1806 of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. The charges allude to former rulers: the cross to the Teutonic Order, the scissors had been in a blue shield the arms of the Jungingen kin. Green and white had been the tinctures of the Lords of Hohenfels.
