Shield parted per fess; above parted per pale, at dexter Or a coronet Gules, at sinister Gules a 6-point star Or; beneath chequered of 12 of Argent and Azure.
Meaning:
All parts are taken from the amrs of former municipalities. The coronet is representing Öhningen proper, however in counterchanged colours and slightly redesigned. The star is representing former Schienen municipality, where the star was facetted on top of a triplemount in a blue field. The chessboard is taken from the arms of former Wangen municipality.
