Shield parted per pale of Or and Azure, a horizontal rectangle parted per pale in counterchanged colours, charged with two quails passant respectant in re-counterchanged colours.
Meaning:
On 31 December 1971 the municipalities of Niederhofheim and Oberliederbach merged, forming the new municipality of Liederbach am Taunus.
The coat of arms of Niederhofheim was approved on 30 March 1967 and displayed on a blue shield a fess Or and three quails Or, two in chief and one in base. The quails (German: Wachteln) were a symbol of the Lords of Wachenheim, which had been lords of cognisance in modern age and rendered many outstanding services to the municipality.
The coat of arms is connecting symbols of both former municipalities, the rectangle representing Oberliederbach (details see below) and the quails, a modification of the arms of the Lords of Wachenheim, representing Niederhofheim. The current arms were designed by Ottfried Neubecker.

I guess that the striking similarity to the glag of Medjimurje County in Croatia is pure coincidentia, but nevertheless quite interesting.
