Coat of arms

Description of coat of arms:
In a silver(=white) field are red wings of a windmill. Out of the red base are growing three black rushes (=the blossom of a grass) with red leaves. The base is separated by a wavy line.
Meaning:
According to source the rushes had been taken from the former arms of Hille, approved by the minister of interior of Northrhine-Westphalia in 1952. The wings had been taken from the arms of former Amt Hartum, approved on 31 July 1951. The wings are also symbolizing the existence of many windmills in function in the area.
