Shield Azure a crozier Or in bend sinister under a bend chequered of Gules and Argent, chief nebuly of Sable and Argent.
Meaning:
The nebuly line of partition is taken from the arms of the Lords of Bastheim. Their existence is proven since 1180. They died out in 1848. The moated castle of Bastheim had been their ancestral seat. The Cistercian Wechterswinkel Nunnery, represented by the chequered bend and the crozier, acquired many estates from the lords between 1273 and 1280 and kept them until 1592.
