Shield Or an impending horseshoe Sable, issuant from base a triplemount Vert, chief Azure four lozenges Argent in fess.
Meaning:
The lozenges are representing the former municipalities of Grainbach, Steinkirchen, Roßholzen and Törwang, which merged on 1 January 1970 and established Samerberg Municipality. The triplemount is a representation of the name giving Samerberg, a mountain. The horseshoe is representing horse breeding and the transportation (German: Säumergewerbe) of salt, grain and other dry goods by horse.

The arms were approved by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Oberbayern on 6 November 1978 and the banner on 29 September 1987.
