C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America is a 2004 US alternate
history film in the form of a mock-documentary made by the BBC on the
history of the CSA - this in a timeline in which which the Confederacy
had decisively won the Civil War and absorbed the defeated US. The
movie is in many ways more satire than a serious attempt at alternate
history , though even major-league undertakings in the field tend to
suffer from an impulse to simply recycle actual events and personages
in strange new contexts.

The flag of the CSA is shown in several iconic scenes
where it essentially replaces the US flag (being planted on the moon,
pledged allegiance to by kids in a classroom, flying over the White
House) and is the familiar Naval Jack rather than any of the three
Confederate national flags (one presumes for the audience's greater
familiarity with it rather than out of ignorance by the filmmakers, as
the production is otherwise reasonably sound historically.)
