The municipality of Čačinci (3,308 inhabitants in 2001, 2,349 in the village of Čačinci) is located in the south-east of the County, some 50 km from Virovitica.
Željko Heimer, 17 April 2005
The symbols of Čačinci are described in the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Čačinci, adopted on 18 February 2013 by the Municipality Council and published on 19 February 2013 in the Municipality official gazette Službeni glasnik Općine Čačinci, No. 1 (text).
The symbols were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka, and approved by the Ministry of Administration / Central State Office for Administration before 2006.
The flag (photo) is described as follows:
The flag is monocoloured, green, in a ratio of width to length of 1:2. In the centre of the flag, at the crossing point of the diagonals is the coat of arms of the Municipality on both sides, outlined with a golden-yellow ribbon.
The municipality hired Mladen Stojić (Heraldic Art) to design the symbols. Guidelines include as preferred elements green colour for agriculture, a millstone for grain processing, then the
Jankovac waterfall, as the only waterfall in Slavonia, and Count
Janković. The deadline was 16 April, the Municipality Day.

The symbols were eventually unveiled during the Municipality Day,
but eight years afterwards. From the list of suggested elements, only the green colour and the millstone were kept. Whether the thunderbolt stand
for the waterfall is unclear, since no electric plant was built there.

Coat of arms of Čačinci - Image by Željko Heimer, 25 May 2013
The coat of arms is described as follows:
The coat of arms of the Municipality of Čačinci is made of a triangular, heart-shaped shield; on a green field, through a silver/white millstone, passes a golden/yellow thunderbolt, btoken four times.
I am not sure to what the charges refer. The millstone certainly refers to the modern mill with large siloes in the center of the village. The thunderbolt might suggest some power industry, but I was unable to locate what it would be.
