Coat of Arms

The coat of arms was approved by the council on 6 April 1987. Description according to Héraldica Municipal de Chihuahua:

It simulates a parchment in a golden semicircle. To the center, the same figure inverted without the rolled parts on the sides, divided into three parts, in the upper left part exists a fleck of cotton, since it is the principal agricultural product of the Municipality. In the upper right part a head of bovine cattle is presented, that of which dominates in the Municipality and allows the production of milk for the industry of grilling.

In the lower part the hill known by the name of Banco Lucero is found, very notorious in passing to the North, it represents Mining which is exploited in the Municipality, although it is on a very low scale. The three figures represent the most important activities in the municipality. Agriculture, cattle-raising, and mining.
