It appears Buenaventura does not use a municipal flag.

Although it appears to be rarely used, Buenaventura has a coat of arms. It was approved by the council under Act N°39 of 3 April 1985. Description according to Héraldica Municipal de Chihuahua:
In a rectangle in the form of an open book appears in the upper part which reads "Municipio de Buenaventura, Estado de Chihuahua 1985" [though the one in actual use reads 1905 for some reason], next to it the mountain is drawn with a sun representing the Cerro Grande del Valle where the sun rises, the figures of an apple, head of corn, cotton bud and an ear of wheat which symbolize the principal products that give life to the Municipality, below a pair of open hands facing up, which represent the good land which nourishes and protects its sons. Also appearing is a tractor which signifies the progress of the mechanization in the field; its motto is "Tierra buena, raza noble" [Good land, noble race].
